🔒Security

RetaFi, the security of our platform and the protection of user assets are our highest priorities. While we strive to implement robust security measures from the initial deployment, users are encouraged to conduct their own risk assessment before engaging with our services. Here are the key security features and measures we have in place:

  1. Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO): RetaFi employs a DAO for governance decisions and to manage risk factors. This decentralized approach ensures that important decisions regarding the platform's operation and security are made collectively by the community, minimizing the risk of centralization and potential vulnerabilities.

  2. Comprehensive Audits: We undergo multiple audits conducted by reputable security firms to assess and enhance the security of our platform. These audits cover various aspects of our system, including smart contract security, network architecture, and overall protocol design.

  3. Multi-Validator Staking: Unlike some staking mechanisms that limit users to selecting a single validator, RetaFi allows staking across multiple validators. This diversification helps spread the risk and enhances the overall security of the staking process.

  4. Non-Custodial Staking Service: RetaFi operates as a non-custodial staking service, eliminating counterparty risk associated with centralized custody solutions. Users retain full control over their assets at all times, reducing the risk of asset loss or unauthorized access.

  5. Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuously improving our security measures and staying vigilant against emerging threats. This includes regularly updating our protocols, implementing best practices in cybersecurity, and collaborating with the broader community to address potential vulnerabilities.

In addition to these security measures, RetaFi maintains bug bounty programs to incentivize security researchers to identify and report vulnerabilities responsibly. Our bug bounty programs are designed to prevent loss of user funds, denial of service attacks, governance hijacks, data breaches, and data leaks. We offer generous rewards of up to $1,000,000 for eligible bug reports and work closely with platforms like Immunefi to manage and reward responsible disclosure.

While our scorecard currently focuses on Polygon-related content, we are committed to expanding our security assessment framework to cover other blockchain networks supported by RetaFi, ensuring comprehensive security coverage across all our services.
